Mobile App

Mobile App

We are exploring the case for developing a mobile app to compliment our Staff Portal solutions.

Obvious areas for consideration would be for staff training and reviews. Due to the restrictive nature of what can be reliably carried out on a mobile phone it might make sense to initially limit the scope of an app to providing read-only access to an individuals training profile and reviews status.

The development of a mobile app can be accomplished within the DotNet Core Framework used to build our staff portals and can be integrated into these solutions. Added to which the data needed for the app can directly tap in to the same database pipelines used for our staff portals.

We will probably decide to proceed with the Mobile App development and limit it intially to a basic use. This will then give us a mobile app platform for the future that can be extended and customised to deliver what is required. David Abell, MD

The main question we will be considering is whether there is a demand at the moment from staff for such an app.

It is possible that other possibilities may come to the fore that would make a mobile app a useful addition. We will be holding discussions with both Leeds Teaching Hospitals and the City Health Care Partnership to hear their thoughts and ideas.
