Staff Training
The incorporation of on-line training in to our NHS Staff Portals is highly flexible and can be configured to meet the ongoing needs of the organisation.
An NHS organisation will have their employees training records stored in the national NHS ESR database. Our Staff Portal is programmed to fully integrate with ESR so that employees training records can be syncronised with corresponding training records automatically imported from ESR on a regular basis. For a detailed explanation of how this works please see our ESR Solution page.
Training Competences are setup to use any number of ‘Learning Tasks’ which are typically, SCORM e-learning, remote elfh e-learning, videos, audio, Power Point Presentations, Word, and PDF files. Each learning task is designated as being required or for information only. When an employee completes all required learning tasks assigned to a competence the competence will automatically update to completed.
The inclusion of training in the staff portals used by Leeds Teaching Hospitals staff and the City Health Care Partnership has been directly responsible for driving up the staff training compliance rate for both organisations to a very high level of over 90%.
Completed competences are exported regularly by the organisation into a CSV file that gets data loaded in to ESR updating the status of the completed staff competences.
In addition to ESR competences any number of local training categories can be setup and have new competences with learning tasks assigned to them. Local training competences can then be assigned to staff accordingly or offered on a self-service basis.
In the case of the City Health Care Partnership (CHCP) they have had their Staff Portal customised to allow external health professionals and workers to be registered and assigned specific competences. This has enabled CHCP to reach out in to surrounding local community to extend the use of their Staff Training Platform.
